Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA)

The mission of the Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) is to administer the provisions of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977 (Mine Act, Public Law 91-173, as amended by Public Law 95-164) for all mining and mineral processing operations in the United States.
