Fish and Wildlife Service

The Fish and Wildlife Service is a sub-agency in the Department of the Interior which supports programs to conserve, protect, and enhance fish and wildlife and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.

The main page links to informational pages on major topics of substantial public interest, including Endangered Species and Wildlife Refuges. There is also a directory of regional FWS offices, a collection of educational resources for both students and teachers ("Let's Go Outside!"), and a collection of public-domain media including images, publications, audio and video clips.

An example of a specialized site within the Service is their Birds, Birds, Birds site, a clearinghouse of information on the subject.
